Gree Electric Appliances Inc. (GREE) - The largest Chinese manufacturer of air conditioners. GREE produces all types of air conditioners: domestic and semi-industrial air conditioners, multi-zone air conditioning systems with variable refrigerant flow (VRF), chillers, fan coils, etc.
GREE is headquartered in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Production is carried out at nine GREE plants: five in China (Zhuhai, Chongqing, Hefei, Wuhan, Zhengzhou) and four abroad (Brazil, Vietnam, Pakistan, USA). The company has its own research center, in which new models of similar technology are being developed taking into account all the wishes and requirements of consumers.
Since 1995, GREE is annually included in the list of the hundred largest Asian exporters. Since 1996, GREE is annually recognized as the No. 1 company in China, and since 2005 it has become the world leader in the production of air conditioners; Today, every third air conditioner in the world is manufactured at the company's factories.
In 2019, Forbes Global 2000 took the 260th place in the list of the largest public companies in the world (355th in terms of revenue, 174th in terms of net profit, 800th in terms of assets and 209th in terms of market capitalization); of Chinese companies in this list took 39th place.
Has a listing of shares on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
